This program is hosted by the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners and the participating municipalities: Allenhurst, Atlantic Highlands, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Colts Neck, Fair Haven, Freehold Twp., Hazlet, Long Branch, Marlboro, Matawan, Middletown, Millstone, Neptune Twp., Oceanport, and Shrewsbury Boro. Large binder clips must be removed from documents staples and paper clips can remain. All papers will be shredded on location in the mobile trucks and the event will end once the mobile trucks are full or its scheduled end time. Saturday, March 25: Atlantic Highlands - Municipal Harbor Parking Lot All shredding events will be held from 9am to 1pm, or until trucks are full. Paper shredding events are also scheduled by Monmouth County at different municipalities each year. Shredded paper from the commercial shredding system gets recycled, as it is free of contamination and processed differently. ![]() Residents are encouraged to participate in paper shredding events. Shredded paper is not permitted in your blue recycling cart, at the Middletown Recycling Center, nor at any of our Satellite Recycling Centers. Residential shredded paper must be placed in the garbage. ![]()
